Literacy Instruction For Texans (L.I.F.T.)
The ARMA Fort Worth Chapter proudly supports L.I.F.T, Literacy Instruction for
Texans, as this year's chapter community project. With over 23% of Texans
reading at the lowest reading level and 22% of Americans reading at the lowest
level, L.I.F.T. is helping make adult illiteracy of the past in the Dallas Fort
Worth area.
L.I.F.T. offers a variety of reading programs, ranging from pre-reading courses
which help adults who are at or below the second grade level in reading, to life
skills workshops, which teaches how to balance a checkbook, read directions and
other necessary life skills.
ARMA Fort Worth has chosen L.I.F.T. as this year's community project to better
the DFW community and
Texas by donating time and money to their organization
in efforts to help L.I.F.T. reach their goal of making adult literacy a thing of
the past.
Last year, the Dallas and Fort Worth ARMA Chapters donated $868 to L.I.F.T.

their goal.
